Our Free From Lactose Mozzarella is a mild and smooth textured cheese. Lactose, also called milk sugar, is found in dairy products. Lactase, an enzyme in humans, is needed to digest lactose. These enzyme levels might fluctuate causing a sensitivity to lactose. Some cheese-making processes and ageing naturally breaks down the lactose in milk. Rigorous lactose level testing assures that our mozzarella is free from lactose.
