Rooibos literally translated as 'red bush' is given its name dues to the colour change that occurs during the fermentation process. It is not a tea but rather a caffeine-free, herbal infusion.  Native to South Africa, Rooibos is to South Africa what Champagne is to France. It is indigenous fynbos, growing well under the harsh climatic environment in the Cedarberg, in the Western Cape.
